Kelly Frye, President

Kelly Frye is a Florida State Certified General Contractor with 35 years of experience in construction and real estate development. He has completed over $150 million in development. During his career, he has owned and led companies in every role of construction and real estate development: General Contractor, Sub-Contractor, Land Acquisition, Land Entitlement, Design-Build, Development Services, Developer, and Development Partner.

He earned his Bachelor of Building Construction from the University of Florida. He graduated with High Honors and is an Outstanding Scholar recipient. Kelly originally pursued a career as a writer and musician, earning a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Central Florida. But, when he had an opportunity to buy a small parcel and build a duplex in Orlando, he discovered his true calling. Decades later, Kelly experienced four recessions as a business owner. While the great recession of 2008 bankrupted many good businesses, Kelly and his businesses have never filed bankruptcy, been a subject of collections, or suffered a judgement or lien.

During the Great Recession, Mr. Frye was fortunate enough to be able to take a multi-year sabbatical. Mr. Frye founded Meridian General Contracting Inc in 2015 for the purpose of developing multi-family communities.

Kelly has been married since 1991 and has two adult children, a son and a daughter. He enjoys volunteering for such charitable organizations as Our Daily Bread and assisting the Florida Department of Children & Families with children in crisis need. He is an avid snow skier and boater.
